Lose Weight Very Fast
Most people who try to diet have difficulty sticking to the diet unless they can lose weight very fast almost from the start of their diet plan. Of course many in the health care profession will try and tell you that when you lose weight extremely fast the chances of you keeping it off are not very good while that may be true in some cases, it is not true in every case.
There is at least one weight loss program that more often than not results in fast effective weight loss for a large number of people who turn to this weight loss program. That weight loss program is known as the HCG diet and this diet has been around for several decades helping people to achieve real weight loss and keep it out.
What is the HCG Diet and How Does it Work
The HCG diet was first introduce by Dr. ATW Simeons in the 1950s. Dr. Simeons found that injecting low doses of the pregnancy hormone HCG and having patients follow a very low caloric diet force the body to use fat cells for fuel, burning fat faster than other diet to date. Dr. Simeons discovered that HCG helped people:

- Lose unhealthy fat
- Feel more energetic
- Lower cholesterol levels
Today this diet is somewhat controversial with the FDA failing to approve HCG injections for weight loss stating that there is no proof that such injections actually aids in weight loss. However many in the medical field disagree and find that people who follow the HCG diet not only show real weight loss, but that this diet is the fastest weight loss method to date.
It should be noted however, that this diet can be quite expensive due to the fact that you need to take daily HCG shots for a period of 3 or 6 weeks then go on a higher calorie maintenance diet for at least 4 weeks before starting another round of HCG. The entire diet needs to be under the strict supervision of a qualified physicians because in rare cases this extremely low calorie diet can result in some significant health risks.
Although most people on this diet do not experience anything more than mild side effects usually during the early days of the diet, anyone who is considering this diet should educate themselves both to the advantages and disadvantages of this diet.
While some people who only have small amounts of weight to lose (20 pounds or less) have tried this diet, it appears to be more successful with people who have serious weight to lose (100 pounds or more) and who is at significant health risks due to their obesity.
Like any diet losing weight and keeping it off is more important that losing weight quickly so make sure if you are going to try the HCG diet that you do so under the care of physician who can monitor both your weight loss and your health.
